Resumo:Innovation and digital technology are two of the main drivers of economic growth and development in a country. Based on these two premises, the idea of the fourth industrial revolution approaches. The city of Pau dos Ferros/RN has the potential to develop this innovative market, as it increasingly offers specialized labor in this area. However, the city's architectural production follows the trend of the traditional mass construction market and drastically modifies the landscape of the urban core, leaving aside the cultural constructive know-how and aspects of bioclimatic comfort. In the midst of this scenario, this work has the general objective of proposing the preliminary project of a Regional Center for Technological Innovation, considering project tectonics and spaces aimed at exploratory innovation. The main motivation is the challenge of developing a hybrid architecture resulting from local know-how and the contemporary method of thinking about architectural design. As a methodology adopted for the theoretical basis, studies and data systematization were used through readings, records and reference studies. As for the methodology aimed at project production, the work was based mainly on the book Adoção do Partido na Arquitetura, by Laert Pedreira Neves (1989). The result, therefore, is a preliminary project with programming aimed at the incubation of technological companies, with a provision that leads to permission, proximity and privacy of spaces, in order to provide exploratory innovation. In addition, it presents bioclimatic comfort strategies related to the region of the hinterland Potiguar and a hybrid volumetry, resulting from the union of regional architecture and the contemporary design method. Finally, the projected building has 7.374,34m², distributed in 03 floors, and adopts the structural system in pillars and metal beams, with closures in massive ceramic bricks.
