Resumo: | This work aimed to describe, analyze and characterize the northern coast of Rio Grande do Norte, mainly with regard to erosion suffered in this region, limited to 5 (five) municipalities on the northern coast of Rio Grande do Norte. In this, the location, characterization and physical aspects of the region and its potentialities are contemplated. The relevance of this research lies in the possibility of broadening the discussions, based on theoretical formulations on the subject and on the development possibilities that these spaces present, in relation to wind and solar energy. The methodology of the work was of a bibliographical nature; based on readings by authors who discuss the subject, it was possible to lecture and reflect on the topic and think of solutions. The theoretical foundation was based on authors such as CHAVES (2005), VITAL (2002), LIMA (2004), FERREIRA (2009), SILVEIRA (2002), TABOSA (2002). The results found were that coastal erosion in the area under study has worsened over time, and it is urgent to further analyze how the impacts of coastal erosion have been occurring along the entire northern coastline of RN to think about in more forceful solutions on the matter, such as the use of alternative energies in place of certain activities in the regions. |
