Resumo:In the Industry 4.0 scenario, competitive companies seek to implement the use of additive manufacturing technology in their operations. This work aims to demonstrate, through the implementation of a 3D printing laboratory in a food and beverage industry, results obtained through the initial processes of defining laboratory flows, standardization, and management of its first results. With a simple structure, using the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) additive manufacturing method and polymeric filaments, it is possible to support the maintenance sector with the development of spare parts, tools, prototypes, and innovations, without depending so much on the extensive supply chain and supplier deadlines, which often compromise factory performance results. With the implementation of an additive manufacturing laboratory for 6 months, it was possible to verify that the initiative has a financial return and the potential to be replicated with other methods and scales to achieve greater results. In addition, results were also obtained related to the stimulus of innovation in the company, changing the mentality of employees in relation to what autonomy within the plant is when there is technology available.
