Resumo:The present study was carried out in a small company of the jewelry sector, in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, with the objective of elaborating the Balanced Scorecard as a strategic management tool for a small company, passing through the definition of the project, strategy elaboration, Balanced Scorecard design and implementation plan. The research was a case study, having collected data through a structured interview and participant observation, to obtain a greater familiarity with the context of the organization. The results show that it is possible for the Balanced Scorecard to be applied in micro and small companies from implementation proposals aimed at the specificities of these organizations.
