Resumo:The Fluid transport is one of the main events that ensured human survival. A thorough understanding of this led to the development of a new science called fluid mechanics. In this context, engineering has applied the knowledge developed by this area to create equipment capable of adding efficiency and robustness. The projects of hydraulic pumps stand out, as devices developed for the transport of incompressible fluids, as they are of simple construction and capable of multiple applications, such as manufactures, residences and agricultural installations. The present study had as objective the assembly of a bench for pump tests, aiming at the survey of its main characteristic curves, comparing them with the curves supplied by the manufacturer, available in the purchase of a pump and in electronic catalogs available from the electronic pages of each manufacturer. The head X flow and efficiency X flow curves were raised, main curves that translate the behavior of a hydraulic pump. The pump used was the SOMAR Submersible Pump with 1.5 HP.
