The methodology used was the case study with a qualitative and exploratory approach, with data collection through interviews with public and private managers in the region, about tourism and the segmentation of adventure in Seridó. The results indicate that Adventure Tourism has a lot of potential to be practiced in the Seridó region of RN, but it is not a priority activity to be worked on in the locality and does not have all the necessary resources to reduce the risks that this segmentation presents. O presente trabalho possui como tema central a análise do perfil e características do Turismo de Aventura no cenário atual de pandemia da covid-19, bem como esse segmento favorece o crescimento seguro, sustentável e ordenado do turismo, e tem por objetivo analisar e mapear as potencialidades deste segmento na região Seridó Potiguar, além de identificar o perfil dos gestores públicos e privados e caracterizar a percepção de ambos sobre o desenvolvimento da atividade na região. A metodologia empregada foi o estudo de caso com uma abordagem qualitativa e de caráter exploratório, com levantamento de dados por meio de entrevistas realizadas com os gestores públicos e privados da região, acerca do turismo e a segmentação de aventura no Seridó.
