Through the deepening and development of leadership, organizations seek to achieve their goals more quickly and efficiently. And in this context, the role of the leader is of paramount importance. With third sector organizations, especially religious organizations, it is no different. Thus, this research aims to carry out an analysis of the leadership styles present in the parishes of the city of Natal/RN, from the perspective of the followers. Regarding the methodology, the research has a descriptive character, with a quantitative approach, carried out through a case study, which used as a data collection instrument, a questionnaire of three sections: the first, sociodemographic data of the followers; the second, data related to leaders; and, finally, the third, the application of the Management Style Assessment Scale, as proposed by Melo (2004). The questionnaire was applied to 70 leaders who make up the CPP's of 07 parishes in the city of Natal/RN, where the pastorals, groups and parish movements are represented. The collected data, after being tabulated, were analyzed using univariate and multivariate descriptive statistics. The results obtained in the research resulted in the realization that there is a predominance of the situational leadership style, where the leader can be characterized as one who has the ability to identify the reality of his work environment and adapt his style to the demands of that environment.

No atual contexto em que a sociedade está inserida, cada vez mais as organizações buscam caminhos estratégias para se manterem atualizadas conforme as exigências de seu público-alvo. Através do aprofundamento e do desenvolvimento da liderança, as organizações procuram atingir de forma mais rápida e eficiente os seus objetivos. E, neste contexto, o papel do líder é de suma importância. Com as organizações do terceiro setor, principalmente as organizações religiosas, não é diferente. Assim, esta pesquisa tem como objetivo realizar uma descrição dos estilos de liderança presentes nas paróquias da cidade de Natal/RN, a partir da ótica dos liderados. No que diz respeito à metodologia, a pesquisa possui um caráter exploratório, com uma abordagem quantitativa, realizada através de um estudo de caso, que utilizou como instrumento de coleta de dados, um questionário de três seções: a primeira, dados sociodemográficos dos liderados; a segunda, dados relacionados aos líderes; e, por fim, a terceira, a aplicação da Escala de Avaliação do Estilo Gerencial – EAEG, conforme proposta por Melo (2004). O questionário foi disponibilizado e aplicado à 70 liderados que compõem os Conselhos Pastorais Paroquiais – CPP’s de 07 paróquias da cidade de Natal/RN, onde se representam as pastorais, grupos e movimentos paroquiais. Os dados coletados, depois de tabulados, foram analisados por meio da estatística descritiva univariada e multivariada.
