description This research addresses and deepens the use and abuse of psychoactive substances (SPA) in the context of capitalist society and develops an analysis of the theme from a gender perspective. This work has the general objective of understanding the determinations that encompass the abusive use of "drugs" by women from their specificities, with a main focus on women who use crack. In methodological terms, the information systematization process took place through bibliographic and documental analyses. This work is the result of an applied quanti-qualitative research. A survey of data and numbers was carried out from a sample extracted from the records of CAPS AD III East (Natal/RN) for the year 2021 and, later, the analysis and investigation guided by the historical-dialectical materialism that us provided us to understand this reality as an expression of the social issue. We used the techniques of observation of the reality of the service of the subjects assisted and subsequent recording in a field diary during a mandatory internship at the institution. The research showed that the use of psychoactive substances by women is permeated by specificities and complexities associated with the female universe, which permeate social indicators established from sociocultural, political and economic determinants. In summary, the profile of women users of psychoactive substances, especially crack, was traced.

A presente pesquisa aborda e aprofunda o estudo do uso e abuso de substâncias psicoativas (SPA) no contexto da sociedade capitalista e desenvolve uma análise da temática a partir da perspectiva de gênero. Tem como objetivo geral compreender as determinações que englobam o uso abusivo de “drogas” por mulheres a partir de suas especificidades, com enfoque principal nas mulheres que utilizam o crack. Em termos metodológicos, o processo de sistematização de informações ocorreu por meio de análises bibliográficas e documentais. O trabalho resulta de uma pesquisa aplicada de caráter quanti-qualitativo. Foi realizado um levantamento de dados e números a partir de uma amostra extraída dos livros de registro do CAPS AD III Leste (Natal/RN) referente ao ano de 2021 e, posteriormente, feita a análise e investigação guiada pelo materialismo histórico-dialético que nos proporcionou entender essa realidade como uma expressão da questão social. Utilizamos as técnicas de observação da realidade do atendimento das sujeitas atendidas e posterior registro em diário de campo durante estágio obrigatório na instituição. Por fim, foi traçado o perfil destas mulheres usuárias de substâncias psicoativas, com ênfase no crack.
