| Resumo: | The present study is a monographic work that aims to analyze the abandonment of children and adolescents, through a reflection on the rights of these subjects enacted by the Child and Adolescent Statute - ECA and in the understanding of the State as a great enabler of these guarantees and mediator of the necessary conditions for them to materialize in the life of childhood and youth, above all, children and adolescents in poverty. For the construction of this study, we will analyze the imminent socio-historical aspects of this issue and, finally, a cut of the expressions of the problematic in focus, in the City of Natal, capital of Rio Grande do Norte, through the data presented by the Specialized Service in Approach Social - SSAS and the Municipal Social Assistance Plan (2022 - 2025), also bringing the insertion of Social Service in the indicated conjuncture. |
