| Resumo: | The good practices of environmental management are of great importance for the optimization of resources, reducing waste, reducing pollution, and can be exercised both in private companies and in public agencies, thus having a commitment to the environment in which they are inserted. Possessing in this way, postures that involve ethics in the market, seeking to meet the issues that involve social, financial and environmental impacts. There must be governance focused on sustainability, with management practices that guarantee the effective internalization and implementation of economic and environmental values in business. With this, the bodies need to train and make their employees aware of the issue, so that these practices become a habit and are not practiced periodically. The present study was carried out at the Municipality of João Pessoa (PB), and to obtain the data an interview was carried out in specific directorates of the secretary of the Environment. It can be observed that there is a lack of uniformity in the practices carried out within the departments. While some secretariats have some actions, others do not, leaving each one to choose whether or not to adhere to the practices. However, some actions are being developed targeting the entire administrative center. That's why the importance of innovating in practices, seeking at the same time to contribute to the environment and consequently reduce expenses and raise awareness of its servers. |
