Sumario:Increasingly, gender and sexuality issues are discussed in our current society, the attentive look at the forms of masculinity(ies) provides a timely debate for man and his relationships in modernity. Thus, the present work of qualitative nature starts from the analysis of the song “Masculinidade” by the singer and composer Tiago Iorc, aiming to understand the affiliation of themes such as gender and masculinity present in the lyrics in question. To this end, the work reflects on the characteristics of the Brazilian music industry and theoretically resorts to the debate on gender and patriarchy proposed by authors such as: Gayle Rubin (1975), Robert Connell (1985, 1995), Judith Butler (2018), Márcio Souza (2000, 2009), Bourdieu (2003), Stremel Pesce Ribeiro (2020) among others. Methodologically, the monograph is based on the technical decoupage of the audiovisual production (video clip or clip) for the song "Masculinidade", developed by Tiago Iorc, in order to articulate the analysis of this production with the aforementioned theoretical framework. At the end of the analysis, the lyrics mention social behaviors related to toxic masculinity and how the singer's argument is structured from references focused on the dimensions of "protagonism and sex" and "sensitivity and fragility". With this, it is possible to perceive the limits of the singer's recognition of this responsibility, as well as to characterize the "left-wing" category, widely publicized in the national media. Such elements help in the construction of a narrative metaphor, of an artistic and professional nature, about the singer, composed from the clip and its content – a valuable resource in the current configuration of the Brazilian music industry.
