| Resumo: | The objective of this work is to compare the conventional system with concrete structure and
masonry fences with the monolithic system in EPS in order to meet a growing demand for new
technologies and more efficient materials that provide better final results for civil construction.
For this, from the bibliographic review, the construction process of the two systems was
characterized and the properties of each system were pointed out in relation to important criteria
both for the final consumer and for civil construction. Based on the data exposed, it was possible
to conclude that the monolithic system in EPS proved to be more advantageous when compared
to the conventional system, in criteria such as cost, productivity, thermal comfort, waste
reduction, among others. All this shows that the system is a more viable alternative, lacking
only the popularization of the method to make it more acceptable by the end consumer and the
builder. |
