Resumo:The so-called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a disease of great impact in immunosuppressed people, including cancer patients who are at increased risk of infection compared to the general population. From this perspective, the present study aims to present an integrative literature review on nursing care practices in the oncology context in times of facing the COVID-19 pandemic. The research included the search and selection of national and international articles published from 2020 to 2021, in the PubMed, Scielo, LILACS and Google Academic databases, and 10 articles were selected. The results of the analysis showed that the main recommendations are focused on reducing the visits of cancer patients to the hospital for return consultations or monitoring, using telemedicine as the main resource, reducing the number of companions in the hospital and the use of personal protective equipment such as masks for professionals, patients and companions. The monitoring of professionals in oncology sectors for signs of infection by COVID, online consultations, and home monitoring were also strategies mentioned. We conclude that the main recommendations involve protecting cancer patients who already have their immunity compromised by the cancer itself. Therefore, several studies show that there is an effervescence of scientific knowledge being produced in order to contribute to the improvement of practices regarding the care directed to cancer patients.
