Resumo:This study aimed to know if the current curriculum of the Accounting Sciences cour-se at UFRN/CERES/Caicó promotes students' interest in the financial market area, identifying how many students already invest, the investor profile of the students, their interest on the theme investment and Financial Market, in addition to the use of this knowledge to analyze investments and in making this decision. To meet this objective, a descriptive research of a basic nature was carried out, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Thus, in the data collection, an online questionnaire was applied, through Google Forms, with the students of the five classes of the course. The main results suggest that the course lacks a greater approach on the subject, having only one optional subject, offered at the end of the course, the students of the course have low familiarity with almost all types of investment, being the majority of conservative profile, with low tolerance to losses and that's why they keep what little money they have left in savings.
