Three Physical Education Professionals from the city of Natal in the state of Rio Grande do Norte participated in the study. Data collection was carried out through a semi-structured interview, which was recorded and later transcribed. The data were assessed through content analysis. All professionals are trained in Physical Education - Full Degree and were relocated from the Municipal Department of Education to the NASF. Regarding the participation in multidisciplinary teams, the professionals meet in order to debate about the comorbidities of the users and each professional of the team acts on each specific problem of the user, working with the human being as a whole. The intervention in users is performed through body practices such as walking, stretching and muscle strengthening. The difficulties faced are the lack of infrastructure for body practices and the lack of investment in the acquisition of materials. The lack of more Physical Education Professionals working in the NASF is another obstacle pointed out by the professionals interviewed. He concluded that NASF Physical Education Professionals are aware of the effectiveness of their work in multidisciplinary teams and the perception that their intervention provides health and prevents diseases in users. O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar a percepção do Profissional de Educação Física no tocante à efetividade da sua intervenção e as dificuldades enfrentadas no desenvolvimento das suas atividades no Núcleo de Apoio à Saúde da Família – NASF. Participaram do estudo três Profissionais de Educação Física, do município do Natal do estado do Rio Grande do Norte. A coleta de dados foi através de uma entrevista semiestruturada, a qual foi gravada e transcrita posteriormente. Os dados foram apreciados por meio da análise de conteúdo. Todos os profissionais são formados em Educação Física – Licenciatura Plena e foram remanejados da Secretaria Municipal de Educação para o NASF. Sobre a participação nas equipes multidisciplinares, os profissionais se reúnem a fim de debater à cerca das comorbidades dos usuários e cada profissional da equipe atua em cada problema específico do usuário, trabalhando o ser humano como um todo. A intervenção nos usuários é realizada através de práticas corporais como caminhada, alongamento e fortalecimento muscular. As dificuldades enfrentadas são a falta de infraestrutura para as práticas corporais e a falta de investimento na aquisição de materiais. A falta de mais Profissionais de Educação Física atuando no NASF é outro óbice apontado pelos profissionais entrevistados.
