Resumo:The objective of this study was to verify the perception of the Physical Education Professional regarding the effectiveness of his intervention and the difficulties faced in the development of his activities at the Family Health Support Center - NASF. Three Physical Education Professionals from the city of Natal in the state of Rio Grande do Norte participated in the study. Data collection was carried out through a semi-structured interview, which was recorded and later transcribed. The data were assessed through content analysis. All professionals are trained in Physical Education - Full Degree and were relocated from the Municipal Department of Education to the NASF. Regarding the participation in multidisciplinary teams, the professionals meet in order to debate about the comorbidities of the users and each professional of the team acts on each specific problem of the user, working with the human being as a whole. The intervention in users is performed through body practices such as walking, stretching and muscle strengthening. The difficulties faced are the lack of infrastructure for body practices and the lack of investment in the acquisition of materials. The lack of more Physical Education Professionals working in the NASF is another obstacle pointed out by the professionals interviewed. He concluded that NASF Physical Education Professionals are aware of the effectiveness of their work in multidisciplinary teams and the perception that their intervention provides health and prevents diseases in users.
