Resumo:Mortality and morbidity of people from diseases related to physical inactivity grows increasingly throughout the world, a high proportion and every year. In Brazil it is no different. This kind of lifestyle has led to an alarming percentage of deaths in 2007, 75% of the overall mortality. Objective: To compare body composition, cardiorespiratory fitness with using the assessment of PROESP the 9-minute test. Specific objectives classifying body mass index data with 9 minutes of PROESP-BR test, so that we can analyze the behavior of the heart rate at the above specified protocol, and correlates them statistically a sample of 40 children of the city of Natal- infants aged between 7:09 years. Results: There was a correlation in the results obtained from data analysis with Excel. Conclusion: There was a correlation between BMI and the final result of heart rate, where students with BMI outside the healthy patterns had lower cardiorespiratory fitness.
