| Resumo: | This work proposes the dialogue between Education and Design, based on the approximation of the theoretical bases of these areas of knowledge and the production of a design artifact for educational purposes to be used by children, the nursery and the class 1, of the Núcleo de Educação da Infância – NEI/CAp-UFRN. The research is based on the socio-cultural perspective of human development and learning proposed by Vygotsky (1996), where the design is able to contribute with new possibilities of teaching through the processes and practices that are proper to them, such as planning, constructing, drawing and use. Along the way, design tools based on the book Universal Methods of Design (2012) are applied, which allow immersion in the context of the object of study and the realization of participatory processes with the children and the school's pedagogical team. The research, therefore, results in the creation and production of a sensory panel model, used to stimulate children's psychomotor skills, including promoting interaction and sharing. Thus, given the studies carried out, there is a possibility of artifact replication in other schools or contexts. |
