Resumo:Maggot therapy uses specific fly larvae, disinfected, to treat wounds that are difficult to heal. Despite the worldwide recognition of the technique, it is highly neglected in Brazil, as well as the scientific disclosure that is incipient in the country, restricting research results only to academy. The objective of this work was to promote a scientific disclosure of maggot therapy in Brazil in several target audience. Using methodologies, dissemination strategies and specific didactic material for each target audience. Resulting in folder, parodies, institutional video and apostille about maggot therapy; Participation in science fairs; Performing "I Northeastern Symposium of Maggot Therapy" and training for health professionals in maggot therapy. It is essential for social progress, which the society understand how the science can be used for help the population. Scientific disclosure work in maggot therapy brings to the population the knowledge about new methodologies that can be used to care for chronic wounds
