description Seek strategies for the prevention of avoidable damage aimed at qualifying health services. The instruments for early risk verification are part of a low-cost technical tool for error reduction. Considering the importance of monitoring risks and standardizing the care process involving the patient, family members and health professionals who must pay attention to the guidelines regarding preparation for performing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO), this study aimed to build and validate a checklist for the referral of the hospitalized patient to the hyperbaric oxygen therapy unit. This is applied research for the development of a technological product with a quantitative approach, aimed at constructing and validating the checklist's content and appearance. The product was built through the following steps: 1) scoping review on the topic, including the taxonomies of the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) and Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC); 2) construction of the instrument based on the characterization of the checklist items with crossmapping between the result of the scoping review and the titles of the diagnoses in the NANDA I taxonomy, electing the NIC interventions, transforming them into a question format; and 3) content and appearance validation process using the Delphi technique, consisting of a panel of judges (nurses). An active search for judges was carried out through the Lattes platform of the Conselho Nacional de DesenvolvimentoCientífico e Tecnológico (CNPq) and the snowball technique. The study complied with the ethical precepts in research with human beings described in Resolution 466/2012 of the Conselho Nacional de Saúde and is in accordance with the guidelines for research procedures at any stage in a virtual environment, with approval by the University Research Ethics Committee Federal of Rio Grande do Norte, authenticated by opinion No. 4,702,060. In the results, items with the Content Validity Index ≥ 0.90 and the reliability of the checklist by Kappa agreement ≥ 0.80 were considered valid. After the construction and structuring of the checklist, the Delphi step was carried out with the responses of 10 judges, for the validation of content and appearance, containing questionnaires organized through a Likert-type scale (1. totally disagree, 2. partially disagree, 3. partially agree and 4. fully agree). The checklist categorized into 14 items. The 1st round assessed the individual content of the items, the 2nd round assessed the instrument's attributes and the 3rd round the appearance and general assessment. The level of agreement between the judges and the validation of content and appearance reached final values of 1.00. Based on the judges' analysis, it can be concluded that the checklist for referral to the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Units was considered an important support tool and favors the communication process between health teams.

Buscar estratégias para a prevenção de danos evitáveis visam à qualificação dos serviços de saúde. Os instrumentos de verificação precoce de riscos integram uma ferramenta técnica de baixo custo para a redução de erros. Considerando a relevância de monitorar riscos e padronizar o processo assistencial envolvendo paciente, familiares e profissionais de saúde que devem estar atentos às orientações quanto ao preparo para realização da Oxigenoterapia Hiperbárica (OHB), esse estudo teve como objetivo construir e validar um checklist para o encaminhamento do paciente hospitalizado à unidade de oxigenoterapia hiperbárica. Trata-se de pesquisa aplicada para o desenvolvimento de um produto tecnológico com abordagem quantitativa, voltada para a construção e validação de conteúdo e aparência do checklist. O produto foi construído através das seguintes etapas: 1) scoping review sobre a temática, incluindo as taxonomias da North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) e Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC); 2) construção do instrumento a partir da caracterização dos itens do checklist com o mapeamento cruzado entre o resultado da scoping review e os títulos dos diagnósticos da taxonomia NANDA I elegendo as intervenções da NIC, transformando-as em formato de pergunta; e 3) processo de validação de conteúdo e aparência a partir da técnica Delphi composto por um painel de juízes (enfermeiros). Realizou-se busca ativa de juízes por meio da plataforma Lattes do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq) e a técnica bola de neve. O estudo contemplou os preceitos éticos em pesquisa com seres humanos descritos na Resolução 466/2012 do Conselho Nacional de Saúde e está de acordo com as orientações para procedimentos em pesquisas com qualquer etapa em ambiente virtual, com aprovação do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, autenticada pelo parecer n° 4.702.060. Nos resultados foram considerados válidos os itens com o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo ≥ 0,90 e a confiabilidade do checklist pela concordância Kappa ≥ 0,80. Após a construção e estruturação do checklist, realizou-se a etapa Delphi com as respostas de 10 juízes, para a validação do conteúdo e da aparência, contendo questionários organizados por meio de uma escala tipo Likert (1. discordo totalmente, 2. discordo parcialmente, 3. concordo parcialmente e 4. concordo totalmente). O checklist categorizado em 14 itens. A 1ª rodada obteve a avaliação do conteúdo individual dos itens, na 2ª rodada avaliou-se os atributos do instrumento e a 3ª rodada a aparência e avaliação geral. O nível de concordância entre os juízes e a validação do conteúdo e aparência atingiram valores finais de 1,00.
