Experimental activities related to Physics are increasingly necessary for the student's learning process. However, these practices are not adopted in most schools in Brazil, either for lack of a teaching laboratory or for (absence of) the will of the school or the teacher. In this research, a classroom experience was investigated using portable experiments to address the laws of thermodynamics, using Peltier plates. The study was developed in a private school in the city of Natal-RN, with students from the 3rd grade of high school. The steps of the didactic sequence were developed both in classroom lessons and in remote formats. In the meantime, the objectives included elaborating a didactic sequence - as a pedagogical tool - to contribute to the teaching-learning process, which will address physical concepts related to thermodynamics, using experimentation and the use of Peltier Plates, adopting, as a theoretical framework, the theory of David Ausubel's Meaningful Learning. Of a qualitative and descriptive*, the research instruments used were: questionnaire, observation and a previously prepared material, which was called “student guide”. The results of the questionnaires shows that most students have many difficulties in basic concepts to understand the content of thermodynamics. All issues discussed and presented in the classroom were recorded in the student guide. Finally, we reiterate the need to develop experimental activities in physics classes, in order to encourage the student to actively participate in the classes. The development of the classes and the conclusion of the sequence makes the teacher see that the use of portable experiments is suitable for working in the classroom and distance education modality.

Não é incomum que as disciplinas da área de ciências naturais sejam vistas por muitos alunos como disciplinas extremamente complexas, principalmente a Física. Atividades experimentais relacionadas à Física são cada vez mais necessárias para o processo de aprendizagem do aluno. No entanto, essas práticas não são adotadas na maioria das escolas do Brasil, seja por falta de laboratório de ensino ou por (ausência de) vontade da escola ou do professor. Nesta pesquisa, foi investigada uma experiência em sala de aula usando experimentos portáteis para abordar as leis da termodinâmica, usando placas de Peltier. O estudo foi desenvolvido em uma escola particular da cidade de Natal-RN, com alunos da 3ª série do ensino médio. As etapas da sequência didática foram desenvolvidas tanto em aula presencial quanto no formato remoto. Nesse ínterim, os objetivos incluíram a elaboração de uma sequência didática - como ferramenta pedagógica - para contribuir com o processo de ensino-aprendizagem, que abordará conceitos físicos relacionados à termodinâmica, utilizando a experimentação e o uso de Placas Peltier, adotando como referencial teórico o teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa de David Ausubel. De caráter qualitativo e descritivo, os instrumentos de pesquisa utilizados foram: questionário, observação e um material previamente elaborado, denominado “guia do aluno”. Os resultados dos questionários mostram que a maioria dos alunos tem muitas dificuldades em conceitos básicos para compreender o conteúdo de termodinâmica. Todas as questões discutidas e apresentadas em sala de aula foram registradas no guia do aluno. Por fim, reiteramos a necessidade de desenvolver atividades experimentais nas aulas de Física, a fim de estimular o aluno a participar ativamente das aulas.
