In the potiguar capital, there is a lack of actions or programs within the urban planning that are directed to female demands in the context of urban space. The urgency of the debate on the public space from the female perspective is therefore highlighted, due to gender inequality and daily violence experienced by women in the collective spaces of the city. In view of these gaps, the objective of this work is, from the elaboration of a booklet, to propose urban and design guidelines to be adopted in the planning of public space in Natal/RN, meeting the specific demands of women and contributing to the promotion of more inclusive and safer spaces for them. To this end, it is intended to study the existing urban planning experiences that consider gender issues, understand the interaction of women's daily lives with the areas of collective living and the infrastructure conditions of public spaces in Natal/RN, and finally analyze them from a female perspective, observing the morphological aspects that determine and interfere in their experience in the city. A partir do entendimento das cidades como fruto das relações segregadoras que fundamentam a sociedade, observa-se que a estrutura patriarcal se materializa no espaço público, distinguindo papéis de gênero que determinam os percursos das mulheres na cidade e que as tornam mais vulneráveis à precariedade da infraestrutura e à hostilidade do meio urbano. Na capital potiguar, aponta-se para a carência de ações ou programas no âmbito do planejamento urbano que sejam direcionadas às demandas femininas no contexto do espaço urbano. Ressalta-se então a urgência do debate sobre o espaço público na perspectiva feminina, em razão da desigualdade de gênero e violência cotidiana vivenciadas pelas mulheres nos espaços coletivos da cidade. Diante dessas lacunas, o objetivo deste trabalho consiste em, a partir da elaboração de uma cartilha, propor diretrizes urbanísticas e projetuais a serem adotadas no ordenamento do espaço público de Natal/RN, atendendo às demandas específicas das mulheres e contribuindo para a promoção de espaços mais inclusivos e seguros para elas.
