Resumo: | The present research deals with hospital educational care and its main objective is to discuss
the pedagogical practices that stimulate the oral language of children from zero to five years
of age developed in a hospital class at the Onofre Lopes University Hospital -
HUOL/EBSERH/UFRN. The choice of the theme was due to my experience as a volunteer
scientific initiation scholarship in the research project entitled “Oral and Written Language in
Early Childhood Education: analyzing pedagogical practices within a hospital class”. We used
the Qualitative Approach to Educational Research as a methodological reference, and to carry
out the investigative process we used the following procedures: document analysis,
bibliographic analysis and participant observation. The investigation took place at three
different times, due to the Covid-19 pandemic: before the pandemic period, in person; during
the pandemic period, remotely; and after the gradual resumption, in person. The research
allowed us to identify that the hospital class at HUOL ensures access to educational
pedagogical care for the needs of the hospitalized child's psychic and cognitive development.
Regarding orality, we could observe that pedagogical practices with oral language are carried
out in the hospital class of HUOL. In addition, in this educational space, dialogue is constant.
At different times children interact, discuss and expose their opinions, ideas, thoughts and
feelings. Children have the opportunity to express themselves orally during free play;
conversation wheels; and in the moments of storytelling and retelling, in which literature is
present. |
