description This research focuses on the inclusion of children with Congenital Zika Virus Syndrome (SCZV) in early childhood education. It is a syndrome that has been discussed in recent years as a result of the Zika Virus epidemic that infected many pregnant women in mid-2015 in Brazil. Children with the syndrome have a set of neurological changes that can compromise development and learning in different ways. In the year 2019, many of these children were entering early childhood education. In this context, the research had as general objective to understand the work of a teacher of Early Childhood Education with a child with SCZV and the organization of the municipality of Natal in support of this work. And it had, as specific objectives: to understand the role of initial and continuing education of Early Childhood Education teachers in the municipality of Natal for the development of pedagogical work with children with SCZV; reflect on the possibilities of learning and development of children with SCZV in Early Childhood Education; understand the organization and challenges of pedagogical work with children with SCZV. The work adopts a qualitative approach and is configured as an exploratory research, having two interviews as the main data production instrument. Online interviews were conducted with a kindergarten teacher who, in 2019, had a child with SCZV in her class and with an advisor from the special education sector of the municipal education department of Natal who accompanied early childhood education institutions. The results highlight the importance of continuing education, institutions. The results highlight the importance of continuing education, especially that which takes place at the school itself and in collaboration with other health professionals, to provide security and conditions for a good pedagogical work with these children; emphasize that knowledge about SCZV is important, but that children must be seen fully, beyond the condition they present, and must participate in activities with the class, with adjustments, when necessary; Finally, they highlight the challenges and achievements of teachers' work, especially in partnership with families. It concludes by highlighting the possibilities of inclusion and participation of children with SCZV in Early Childhood Education and sharing the concern about the impacts that the covid-19 pandemic, which took them away from school, may have brought to their development.

Essa pesquisa volta-se para a inclusão de crianças com a Síndrome Congênita do Zika Vírus (SCZV) na educação infantil. Trata-se de uma síndrome que passou a ser discutida nos últimos anos, como resultado da epidemia do Zika Vírus que infectou muitas gestantes, em meados de 2015, no Brasil. As crianças com a síndrome apresentam um conjunto de alterações neurológicas que podem comprometer o desenvolvimento e aprendizagem de maneiras distintas. No ano de 2019, muitas dessas crianças estavam ingressando na educação infantil. Nesse contexto, a pesquisa teve como objetivo geral compreender o trabalho de uma professora da Educação Infantil com uma criança com a SCZV e a organização do município do Natal no suporte deste trabalho. E teve, como objetivos específicos: entender o papel da formação inicial e continuada dos professores da Educação Infantil do município do Natal para o desenvolvimento do trabalho pedagógico com as crianças com SCZV; refletir sobre as possibilidades de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento das crianças com a SCZV na Educação Infantil; compreender a organização e desafios do trabalho pedagógico com as crianças com a SCZV.O trabalho adota abordagem qualitativa e configura-se como pesquisa exploratória, tendo duas entrevistas como principal instrumento de produção de dados. Foram realizadas entrevistas online com uma professora da educação infantil que, em 2019, tinha uma criança com a SCZV em sua turma e com uma assessora do setor de educação especial da secretaria municipal de educação de Natal que acompanhava as instituições de educação infantil. Os resultados destacam a importância da formação continuada, principalmente a que acontece na própria escola e em colaboração com outros profissionais da área da saúde, para dar segurança e condições para um bom trabalho pedagógico com essas crianças; destacam que o conhecimento a respeito da SCZV é importante, mas que as crianças devem ser vistas integralmente, para além da condição que apresentam, devendo participar das atividades com a turma, com adequações, quando necessário; destacam, por fim, os desafios e as conquistas do trabalho dos professores, principalmente, na parceria com as famílias.
