| Resumo: | The present study aims to analyze the Repositório Institucional Digital (RID) of the Instituto Federal de Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN), called Memoria. In order to verify how the information available in its interface is arranged. Using the Pervasive Information Architecture (AIP) and Information Findability (IE) approaches, considering that the AIP guidelines helps in the findability of information from the Memoria repository. This research uses the observation method, from a user perspective, by observing how the information retrieval process takes place, based on the checklist proposed by Vechiato, Oliveira and Vidotti (2016), for hybrid informational environments. In view of the importance of designing usable and accessible Digital Institutional Repositories, thus boosting the findability and visibility of the institution's scientific productions. Therefore, in terms of Information Findability, it can be concluded that the Memoria website performs the information retrieval in a satisfactory way, however, the need to insert and update some of its tools is evident, as in the case of the autocomplete feature and the finalization of the help resource for the user, resources that help to find the information. With regard to the attributes of the Pervasive Information Architecture, the repository meets the criterion of responsiveness, considering that it correctly adapts to the screens of mobile devices, in their various resolutions without compromising the information contained in its interface. However, it was observed that the repository does not fully meet all attributes, since it does not allow the tendency of movement, propagation and infiltration of information in other diverse informational channels. For considerations, the importance of developing resources that enable a quality user experience is highlighted, having in their functionalities the intentional and interactive character. |
