Resumo:This master‟s thesis is inserted in the field of ethic and race discussions and aims at aiding the struggle against religious racism. We intended to discuss the subject from bibliographic research and journalistic publications along with our class experience in the state public school system of Ceará, „especially‟ at the school where we currently teach, the EEFM José de Alencar, located on the neighborhood of Messejana, in Fortaleza. As „an applicable'' product, we elaborated a didactic sequence to help history teachers on the discussions in class concerning religious racism and ethnic and race issues. In consequence, we seek to contribute toward an anti-racist education that recognize the diversity and enable new approaches and readings in Afro-Brazilian religions beyond the negative imaginary which has historically been created, especially regarding demonization.
