Resumo:The importance of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the implementation of environmental agendas is undeniable, notably their primary mission of knowledge transfer, scientific research and dialogue with society. However, as HEIs it assumes yet another relevant role in achieving environmental objectives. Even though they are images, they are true and are capable of integrating actions aimed at reducing the number of associates involved in the operation. In this sense, this study seeks a model of sustainability focused on the academic plans of the Universidade Federal do Norte (UFRN) will create a model for building a more sustainable integrated community and a society more sustainable practices. The operationalization of the research took place through a case study of UFRN itself, with the initial stage of exploring and describing its environmental governance structure, as well as the existence and/or implementation of Sustainable Logistics Management Plans or equivalent instruments to be adopted by the academic research units of the Central Campus, combined with an exploratory field perception to study the perception of users regarding the promotion of local sustainability, considering aspects related to the teaching of the unit, extension and operations of the institutional unit. The results that there are no units of units, sustainability research, as well as actions do not have a PLS or a similar instrument of an integrative character, which involves all users, from the perspectives of teaching, extension, extension and education operations. As a result, a model of an integrative sustainability plan was developed, in order to provide the institution's environmental management with an instrument capable of achieving sustainability throughout the university community in an integrated manner.
