Resumo: | The birth of a child is an important event in the life of a pregnant woman, and each of these
people will experience giving birth in a different way. Childbirth is a subject discussed in
different scientific fields: health anthropology, health sociology, public policies, gender
relations, among others. We are currently living in a society mediated by different digital
technologies that interfere in our everyday life. In particular, there is an increase in the use of
social networks, especially facobook and instagram, as a means of communication on
different themes and subjects. This investigation aims to understand how pregnant women
face childbirth and what is its relationship with the images of normal and humanized
childbirth published on the internet. The work seeks to analyze a network of relationships
between women who make up the Casa das Conchas space in Natal/RN: a place that promotes
assistance to those who want a humanized childbirth in the city, seeking to understand the
experiences of childbirth, the bonds of sociability and affections of the women who
participate in the meetings of doulas and pregnant women. The strengthening women's
autonomy over their bodies during childbirth is a key issue for pregnant women who are in
search of new “humanized” experiences. In this sense, the main objective of this investigation
is to analyze the images and theoretical circulation in Nós. For that, it was necessary to
interpret the profiles created in Instagram about normal and humanized childbirth, as well as
to participate in WhatsApp groups involving the theme. Thus, I seek to understand how these
visual (audio) narratives can reveal fundamental aspects on the theme of humanization of
childbirth in Natal / RN. |
