| Resumo: | This research aims to understand how the Urban Sketchers´ collective (Natal/RN) establishes
their relationships with the city and reflect on the practice of drawing as a tool for knowledge
production. For this, we take as the central object of analysis the relationship of the Urban
Sketchers´ collective with the city, through the modality of registering urban landscapes. The
relationships between the studied group and the city of Natal/RN present unfoldings, such as
the political issues surrounding the transformations in the urban landscapes, the sense of
collectivity promoted by the dynamics of the collective, and the practice of collective drawing
as a catalyst of affective memories. The practice of location drawing is related to the debate
around drawing as a tool for research and knowledge analysis. Thus, the present study aims to
contribute to the debate in the field of Graphic Anthropology, following a line of reflection on
the issues of cognitive science. The fieldwork was conducted throughout 2019, in person, and
in 2020 and 2021, online, due to the period of social isolation caused by the COVID– 19 pandemic. |
