A importância da Literatura Potiguar e o papel do bibliotecário como mediador literário
description Thinking about the cultural function of the librarian as a mediator of a literary texts, this monograph has the general objective to highlight the importance of some classic authors from Rio Grande do Norte in in order to highlight life and work, which should be part of the collections of libraries in the state of Rio Grande do Norte to encourage and subsidize literary mediations. This exploratory bibliographic research, sought to present the importance of literature, as well as to discuss the relevance of potiguar literature to build a cultural identity of the Rio Grande do Norte. In order to understand the trajectory of potiguar literature, it was also aimed to demonstrate the dimension of state literature through a brief history. Another specific objective is also accomplished, which turned to the discussion of the importance of the librarian as a mediator. In short, evidences bibliographic data and literary characteristics of fifteen classic authors, these are: Nísia Floresta (1810-1885), Lourival Açucena (1827-1907), Polycarpo Feitosa (1867-1955), Henrique Castriciano (1874-1947), Ferreira Itajubá (1876-1912), Auta de Souza (1876-1901), Jorge Fernandes (1887-1953), Palmyra Wanderley (1894-1978), Câmara Cascudo (1898-1986), Mailde Pinto Galvão (1925-2013), Myriam Coeli (1926-1982), Zila Mamede (1928-1985), Nei Leandro de Castro (1940-), Socorro Trindad (1950-) and Marize Castro (1962-). It concludes that it is through the continuous intervention of the librarian as a mediator that a reading community is built. Since literature is one of the essential arts for the lives of subjects, they should have access to the literary production of authors from north-rio-grandenses authors on library collections.

Pensando na função cultural do bibliotecário quanto mediador de textos literários, esta monografia tem como objetivo geral destacar a importância de alguns autores clássicos norte-rio-grandenses a fim de evidenciar vida e obra, os quais deveriam fazer parte das coleções das bibliotecas do estado do Rio Grande do Norte para fomentar e subsidiar as mediações literárias. Esta pesquisa de cunho bibliográfico do tipo exploratória, buscou apresentar a importância da literatura, bem como dissertar sobre a relevância da literatura potiguar para construção de uma identidade cultural norte-rio-grandense. Para a compreensão da trajetória da literatura potiguar objetivou-se ainda demonstrar a dimensão da literatura do estado através de um breve histórico. Um outro objetivo específico é também realizado o qual se voltou para a discussão da importância do bibliotecário como mediador. Em suma, evidencia dados bibliográficos e característica literárias de quinze autores clássicos, sendo esses: Nísia Floresta (1810-1885), Lourival Açucena (1827-1907), Polycarpo Feitosa (1867-1955), Henrique Castriciano (1874-1947), Ferreira Itajubá (1876-1912), Auta de Souza (1876-1901), Jorge Fernandes (1887-1953), Palmyra Wanderley (1894-1978), Câmara Cascudo (1898-1986), Mailde Pinto Galvão (1925-2013), Myriam Coeli (1926-1982), Zila Mamede (1928-1985), Nei Leandro de Castro (1940-), Socorro Trindad (1950-) e Marize Castro (1962-). Conclui que é, por meio da intervenção contínua do bibliotecário como mediador, que se constrói uma comunidade leitora.
