Resumo: | The proposed study aims to analyze reports and bills related to a Supermarket from Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, with tha main objective to create a benchmark between revenue and COVID-19 pandemic progress. Data was collected using the 2019-2021 interval, using data from 2021 not fully consolidated due the no balance sheet closing. The data related to supermarket bills used in this research was provided by the establishment owner. Whereas, the pandemic data collected and applied in this study use as source the Laboratório de Inovação Tecnológica em Saúde (LAIS), from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). It was concluded that the revenue from the enterprise was not directly affected by pandemic number of cases variation. However it was noticed revenue impacts based on social and economic context created by the COVID-19 pandemic. Another conclusion achieved by the proposed research using the collected data is that vaccination, flexibilization and resumption of operations of other companies generated a strong impact in the enterprise numbers during the pandemic, while the numbers suffered strong losses when only essential services were opened. Finally, an interesting insight collected is the relation between tight rules applied to Emergencial Aid and revenue oscillation. The research uses scatter plot and Pearson Correlation to identify relations between COVID-19 cases and the company revenue variations. |
