Resumo:Handroanthus impetiginosus(Mart. Ex DC.) Mattos (Bignoniaceae) is a tree species used in Brazil due to its ornamental potential and economic value in the wood, medicinal and pharmacological industry. Given its potential and high added value, the species is on the near-threat list. In this sense, the storage of seeds is indicated to prolong the viability and favor the use in periods when there is no seed production, as well as the conservation in germplasm banks. Thus, this work aims to evaluate the physiological quality of H. impetiginosus seeds. To carry out the tests, the seeds were conditioned in transparent polyethylene packages and conditioned in a refrigerator (-0.7°C/ 15% relative humidity). Germination and vigor estimates (germination speed index, plant length and dry 7eight, emergence, emergence speed index and electrical conductivity) were carried out in periods of 0 (initial period); 30; 90; 150; 210; 270; 330; 390 and 450 days after storage. The variance model was applied as an option between the storage option (2 x 9) planning as a study model (model was linear or polynomial) and the planning model (model was linear (p>0,05)) calculation (R2 ) of higher order. It was observed the superior germination methods of packaging, preserving the days for the superior germination methods of packaging, preserving the days of maintenance of vigor 50%, observing their germination methods superior to the vigor 50%, observing the germination methods for the packaging vigor, preserving the two germination capacity potentials to be maintained during the storage vigor, for the seeds packaged. Therefore, seed planning based on a feasibility study is not the quality planned according to the feasibility study, until the extension of studies without planning conditions in packaging, up to 450 days refrigerated without a study feasibility study, and 270 days preserving up to 50% seedling emergence.
