Resumo:The COVID-19 pandemic brought a series of impacts to the tourism sector, and consequently the travel agencies that were influenced to promote some changes to remain in the market. Thus, the general objective of this work is to analyze how travel agencies in Natal have innovated their tourist itineraries through the COVID-19 pandemic. As for the methodology adopted, it was of the descriptive-exploratory type, as for the objectives, with a qualitative approach and application of semi-structured interviews with five managers of travel agencies in Natal. The results showed that the diversification of the types of agencies surveyed reveals the variety in the commercialization of packages and services offered before the pandemic, as well as the new products that emerged according to the new demands for tourist packages in regions of Rio Grande do Norte and packages national, without the focus of international packages at this time of the pandemic. In this way, this study, when investigating the innovation practices in the service provided by the Natal agencies interviewed, concludes that in fact technology during the pandemic state was seen as an instrument that provides the expansion of the cases studied, causing improvement in sales and modes of operation of tourist services.
