| Resumo: | In view of the enactment of the State Constitutional Amendment of Rio Grande do Norte No. 20/2020, which has its legislation in line with the federal standards contained in Constitutional Amendment No. 103/2019, changes were made to the criteria for granting employee retirements, in the calculations benefits and contribution rates. The present study aims to trace the history of the Special Social Security System in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, to analyze the main causes of the negative social security balance / deficit and to know the changes carried out by the recent pension reform in the State, comparing them with the old and the new ones for federal servants. |
