Resumo:The present work approaches relationship of the fake news with information security as well as other aspects pertinent about this subject. Relates the information literacy as basic condition for a person to know how selects a proper information to not propagate disinformation, not be a victim of fraud and protect their informational assets. Has as general objective watch how much vulnerable of the informational assets of the graduate students in CCSA/UFRN (Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte), contained in personal storage devices or storage clouds. Therefore, it’s considered their relationship with to receive news, informational assets care and basic knowledge about information security. Has as methodology literature review in order to compose the theoretical reference, as well as the application of a form containing twenty-three questions, arranged in thematic sets. The first one about the personal data, the second one about their relationship as news daily received and the third one about their behavior of security information. It mentions that the number of students with regular bond in period of questionnaire application, just 7% contributed with search, but even with a percentage exceptionally low, the number of respondents was satisfactory about studied public. Bring as results a verification that all questioned students expose their informational assets to certain risk, because alternate between appropriate and inappropriate practices of information security due to behaviors and knowledge about fake news an information security. It demonstrates that these good and bad practices are related to acts as indiscriminate access to links contained in received news; the consideration of title as basic question to share a news; the confidence in acquaintances senders, the absence of checking of the news received; the agreement that fake news aim just to confuse, the absence use of antivirus or use the free and illegal version and not using backups; the reuse of password (s); the creation of weak password (s); and the password (s) change frequency. It details the fulfillment of specific objectives through of illustrative scheme divided as a means of identifying aspects of informational criticality and attention with informational assets. Lastly, addresses in the considerations the importance of take measures directed to development of actions inside of the UFRN with aim of aware students about of the informational assets, as well as offer protect training. Includes in the subject the necessity of actions on the Federal Government directed to development of the informational literacy, considering the informational security since initial years of the individuals in academic scope.
