Resumo:The present work was made with a group of choristers from the choir Vozes do CPSI, which is based at the IFRN campus Natal Central. The research, carried out in a qualitative way, seeks to understand the importance of choir singing in the elderly and how these choristers absorved the teachings passed on conductor as regent of this group. This case study has as research tools the logbook used during the end of each rehearsal and also the research form made with all the participants of the choir. In this work, I will also address the methodologies used to work with the choristers and how the collaborative process was beneficial in student learning. During the research I was able to understand that the practice of choral singing in the elderly does not only help in musical factors, but also helps in the motor and cognitive development of the choristers.
