Resumo: | The Governador Aluízio Alves airport has a series of problems relative to its access, mainly
when it comes to its distance to Natal's city center and hotelier area. In that sense, this work
intends to present a viability analysis of a very usual alternative in Brazil and in the world: a
selective bus line connecting the airport to the city. Through the establishment of a route and
the estimate demand for the service, a time schedule was proposed, with the costs involved in
line operation analyzed. With that data, a cash flow was established to analyze the viability of
the proposed service, with the net present value (NVP). The results indicate that, given the
calculation conditions and a estimated tariff of R$ 25,00, the project is viable for the minimum
rate of attractively (MRA) interval of 4% to 10% per semester. Finally, the equilibrium tariff
was calculated, which represents the value that makes the NVP null, i.e, the value that balances
earning and expenditures. Therefore, for the project to be viable, given a MRA of 7%, the tariff
must be higher that the equilibrium tariff. The alternative is satisfactory and advantageous not
only for the investor, but also for the user, mainly in relation to the quality of the offered service
and because of the significantly smaller cost when compared to the current transportation
services. |
