Resumo:This monograph consists of a study on how the use of so-called regional aspects in pop culture and mainstreaming reflect in the reinforcement and, at the same time, in the breaking of stereotypes about the Brazilian Identity. This identity is often confused with that of the carioca and sold as unique to the outside world. And to deepen this analysis, the singer and entrepreneur Anitta is chosen for bringing a great milestone to Brazilian music, winning national and international awards never seen before, besides being a non-white woman who seeks to bring social agendas to her art. Deepening the analysis, the clip Girl From Rio by Anitta is chosen as study object for bringing racism, feminism, objectification of women, differentiation of social classes and the positive body as aspects to be evaluated within the music video, considering that music videos are great products of the music industry, being new opinion makers and influencers, especially with the advancement of technologies in recent years and its rapid dissemination throughout the world. To this end, the study is based on exploratory research, using as technical procedures the bibliographic research, the documentary research and the case study.
