Resumo:The present work seeks to develop a descriptive-reflective study about “Agueré de Oxóssi”, a specific dance format that happens in the tradition of Kêtu candomblé, in the candomblé yard of Ialorixá Isa de Nanã - Ilê Olorum (Parnamirim / RN). For this, it uses the description of this movement based on self-observation and the recognition of the presence of movement factors in this dance, in an approach of the chorological studies proposed by Rudolf Laban (LABAN, 1978), based on the following references: TIBÚRCIO (2010; 2014) and RENGEL (2001; 2006; 2008). During the text, the question of the dance of orixás and black people is discussed, for this, the readings of MARTINS (2008); OLIVEIRA (2006; 2014) and SANFILIPPO (2016) are used. As a methodological scope, we take the choreographic description as a reference, based on participant observation and personal reflections, following the precepts of learning, of this and other dances, in the candomblé yard. The aim of this study is to carry out a reading of Agueré to highlight the presence of a creative and ancestral imaginary, propelling reflections on this dance and life, based on tradition. Knowing “Agueré de Oxóssi” is a significant attitude in a Degree in Dance, as a recognition of the relevance of studies of African driving in our culture, in our art and in our life.
