description Debates on Sustainable Development caught the eye of leaders and governments around the world due to the scarcity of natural resources and how these actions would influence livelihoods for generations to come. Thus, the need arose to create sustainability goals and targets to raise awareness of global society. The Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda created by the United Nations (UN) is a document that brings together 17 sustainable development goals, through 169 goals, being seen as a call to the global community to start practicing actions that develop the good social being and the environment. The Projeto RN Sustentável, in partnership with the State Government, is a multisectoral project divided into three strategic components and aims to contribute to improving the quality of life of the population in areas considered to be of low dynamism in the state. Among the strategic components, the present research proposes to verify the component in Sustainable Regional Development with emphasis on the subcomponent in Investments in Productive, Social and Environmental Inclusion, and from this verification, how the actions of the subcomponent contribute to the promotion of the objectives established by the Agenda 2030. The research has an exploratory and descriptive character, with a quali-quantitative approach, using information available on the Sustainable RN Project website and internal control data extracted from the Information Management and Monitoring System (SMI). By analyzing the SMI data, it is possible to verify the reach that the Projeto RN Sustentável presents in the state through the actions proposed in the subcomponent, in addition to contributing to the achievement of objectives and goals established by the 2030 Agenda, considered a document of international relevance.

Os debates sobre Desenvolvimento Sustentável alcançaram o olhar de líderes e governantes ao redor do mundo devido à escassez de recursos naturais e como essas ações iriam influenciar os meios de subsistência nas próximas gerações. Dessa forma, surgiu a necessidade de criar objetivos e metas de sustentabilidade para conscientizar a sociedade global. Os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Agenda 2030 criada pela Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) é um documento que reúne 17 objetivos de desenvolvimento sustentável, através de 169 metas, sendo vista como um apelo à comunidade global para começar a praticar ações que desenvolvam o bem estar social e o meio ambiente. O Projeto RN Sustentável em parceria com o Governo do Estado, é um projeto multissetorial dividido em três componentes estratégicos, e visa contribuir para a melhoria da qualidade de vida da população em áreas consideradas de baixo dinamismo no estado. Entre os componentes estratégicos, a presente pesquisa se propõe verificar o componente em Desenvolvimento Regional Sustentável com ênfase no subcomponente em Investimentos em Inclusão Produtiva, Social e Ambiental, e a partir dessa verificação, como as ações do subcomponente contribuem para o fomento dos objetivos estabelecidos pela Agenda 2030.
