Periodic cytopathological examination is the most used way to track and identify the infection in its initial stage, thus reducing the incidence and mortality rate for this disease. There is currently a disparity in adherence to screening when comparing transgender and lesbian men with heterosexual cisgender women, this is because awareness campaigns are based on heteronormativity, excluding sexual minorities as the target audience of the campaigns. The objective of this present review was to identify the main barriers that hinder adherence to cervical cancer screening. The scarcity of works on the subject caused the review to have a restricted N. For the research, pre-defined databases and descriptors were used. Articles published in the last 5 years were used. Access barriers were identified, with gender dysphoria cited in most articles. It is clear the need for more studies, well-targeted public policies and campaigns to be able to include all people with a uterus in the screening. O câncer cervical é causado pela infecção persistente de tipos oncogênicos de HPV. O exame citopatológico periódico é a maneira mais usada para rastreamento e identificação da infecção no seu estágio inicial, diminuindo assim a taxa de incidência e mortalidade por essa doença. Atualmente existe uma disparidade na adesão ao rastreamento quando comparado homens transgênero e lésbicas com mulheres cisgênero heterossexuais, isso porque as campanhas de conscientização são baseadas na heteronormatividade, excluindo como público alvo das campanhas as minorias sexuais. O Objetivo desta presente revisão foi identificar as principais barreiras que dificultam a adesão ao rastreamento do câncer cervical. A escassez de trabalhos sobre o assunto fez com que a revisão tivesse um N restrito. Para a pesquisa foram utilizados bases de dados e descritores pré-definidos. Foram utilizados artigos publicados nos últimos 5 anos. Foram identificadas barreiras de acesso, sendo a disforia de gênero citada na maior parte dos artigos.
