Resumo:In the synthesis of the nanocomposites, using the Pechini method, ceria citrate was prepared to cover ZrO2 stabilized with commercial Yttrium in proportions of 1, 3 and 5 mol% of CeO2. The property of FL was evaluated in the characterization of the ZrO2 nanocomposites stabilized with Yttrium coated with ceria the techniques of X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray Dispersive Energy and Photoluminescent Emission (PL) evaluated at room temperature. Note that when varying the percentage of the amount of mol in the coating there is an influence on the PL intensity of the material, indicating that a lower percentage in mol of coating causes a higher emission when compared to the material with greater percentage in mol of coating, due to the generation of a degree of order and disorder originated from the interface between the two materials.
