Some factors arise in this environment, such as grammar rules, concordances, linguistic and dialectal varieties, among others. As a consequence of these differences, a lot is still constituted between the “right” or “wrong” way of using the language where it is in constant evolution and construction by its transmitters and interlocutors. The object of this qualitative bibliographic research is focused on the linguistic varieties found at school, as well as how the literacy and literacy process takes place in the face of diversities. In this context, the objective of this work is a) to recognize that there is no right or wrong language, b) to understand that diversities must be respected in the entire context, c) to identify the possibility of literacy and literacy in the face of linguistic diversity, d) use diversity in favor of the construction of knowledge. We discuss aspects of literacy and literacy, Portuguese language and its regionalities, standard norms and, finally, linguistic varieties. This work was based on bibliographical research based on the precepts of Brazilian and foreign linguists such as: Labov (1972), Saussure (2008), Bagno (2001), Faraco (2002), Bortoni-Ricardo (2005), among others. We believe that linguistic varieties must be respected and, above all, worked on at school in a way that allows for knowledge of the variants existing in Brazil, thus also providing a wide space for their study. O processo de alfabetização e letramento devem estar um a favor do outro para que o sujeito então consolide-se dentro de uma sociedade alfabetizada e letrada. Alguns fatores neste meio surgem, como por exemplo regras gramaticais, concordâncias, variedades linguísticas e dialetais, entre outros. Como consequências destas diferenças, muito ainda se é constituído entre a forma “certa” ou “errada” de se usar a língua onde essa está em constante evolução e construção pelos seus emissores e interlocutores. O objeto desta pesquisa bibliográfica qualitativa está voltado para as variedades linguísticas encontrada na escola, também como se dá o processo de alfabetização e letramento frente às diversidades. Neste contexto, o objetivo deste trabalho é a) reconhecer que não existe uma linguagem certa ou errada, b) compreender que as diversidades devem ser respeitadas diante todo o contexto, c) identificar a possibilidade de alfabetizar e letrar diante a diversidade linguística, d) usar a diversidade a favor da construção dos saberes. Discorremos sobre os aspectos de alfabetização e letramento, língua portuguesa e suas regionalidades, norma padrão e por fim as variedades linguísticas. Este trabalho foi baseado em pesquisas bibliográficas partindo dos preceitos de linguistas brasileiros e estrangeiros tais como: Labov (1972), Saussure (2008), Bagno (2001), Faraco (2002), Bortoni-Ricardo (2005), entre outros.
