Resumo:The Information Technology Department (DIN) of the Court of Audit of the RN (TCE/RN) had an improvised, undocumented and uncontrolled software development process, making it difficult to maintain and evolve. Corroborating this, internal communication within the project teams and between the subsectors of DIN was inefficient. With this, it was common to make the software available with errors of execution in the production environment, compromising the quality and the confidence of the users in relation to the software developed. In this context, the objective of this work is to propose a model of software management and development process in the TCE / RN. For that, a methodology was systematized in six stages, starting with the bibliographic research on the subject until the approval of the proposal of the process model. The results demonstrate the construction of the proposal of the process model, called PRODEV, composed of the life cycle process flow and the reference guide with all the necessary information for its use, including performance indicators. With its implementation, DIN expects to obtain as benefits the standardization of the software development process, the improvement of the performance of the project teams and the increase of the quality of the software produced.
