Resumo:The increasing cesarean rate is a fact observed in the world and also in Brazil, where it reaches levels around 50%. This reality was likewise found at the University Hospital Ana Bezerra. It is known that the World Health Organization recommends a percentage between 10 and 15%. Seen this, it is emphasize Robson's Classification as a padronized instrument to be used, because it is able to evaluate, monitor and compare this indicator as well as allows the analysis of practice and contributes with the construction of goals with acceptable cesarian indexes. Therefore, this intervention work had the aim of implant the Robson's Classification in this service with a view to monitoring and reducing cesarean rates in groups 1 and 3.In this perspective, methodological strategies were used, namely: sensitization of the managers and assistential team involved in delivery care and birth; elaboration of a informatized tool for the data consolidation and monitoring and parturients classification in one of the ten Robson's groups; capacitation with explanation of scientific evidences regarding the proposed theme as well as training in the tool to be implanted in the service; elaboration and validation of a guidance manual about the instrument use.The implementation of the Robson’s Classification awoke in the multiprofessional team the existence of a risk analysis in health services when analyzing the possibility, analysis and monitoring of cesarean rates.
