Resumo:Social control as a principle and guideline of the Unified Health System (SUS) was instituted to strengthen it in the implementation of its basic principles, namely universality, equity and comprehensiveness, encouraging social participation in the supervision, monitoring and evaluation of actions. and application of financial resources for the implementation of health policy. Thus, the present work aims to present a report of experience undertaken from extension actions that have been systematically carried out in the social health control of Caicó / Rio Grande do Norte, in the Basic Health Units that have the role of Multiprofessional Residency Program in Primary Care (PRMAB) of the Multicampi School of Medical Sciences (EMCM) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), configuring itself as supportive actions of EMCM to strengthen social control in Caicó / RN , with a view to the creation of Local Health Councils (CLS). Our specific objectives are: (1) To systematize PRMAB's actions in the mobilization and strengthening of social control in health in Caicó / RN; (2) Present the experiences aimed at strengthening social control from the municipal, state and national health conferences; (3) Analyze the actions of recognition of social control in Caicó / RN in the development of continuing education and training. These proposals have been made since March 2019 to date by multiprofessional residents in Primary Care, teaching students in articulation with the Family Health Teams (ESF) and Municipal Health Council (CMS), from the longitudinal insertion of the University. in the context of primary care. Data were collected from these studies through participant observation in social control spaces in Caicó / RN, field diary, conducting a situational diagnosis and participation in Municipal, State and National health conferences in 2019. The results they were organized according to the target audience approach and the nature of collective actions and social mobilization. Regarding the experiences of social control worked in Primary Health Care (PHC), we can identify them: Waiting rooms about the role of the health council; mobilization for pre-conferences and 7th Municipal Health Conference; sensitization of health teams in meetings to act in the Municipal Health Council and the importance of the creation of the CLS, insertion in the health promotion groups of the units to talk about the need for political engagement of the population in health decision-making processes, besides our articulation with the CMS of Natal / RN and the State Health Council (CES) to socialize with the members of the extension project “Strengthening social control in Caicó-RN: popular participation for the guarantee of the right to health” experiences in the implementation of CLS of big capital and to think collectively of strategies for the strengthening of social control in Caicó / RN, considering the local singularities. Thus, we consider relevant the presentation of successful collective experiences developed within the PHC of Caicó / RN based on the relationship between university, professionals, users and CMS as essential tools for permanent awareness of the need to create CLS. The social responsibility activities described here are intended to strengthen social control in health and popular participation in Caicó / RN, being made possible through the support of the Multiprofessional Residency in Primary Care, revealing the potential of the interaction of the University with the Unified Health System. Health (SUS) in the transformation of lives, scenarios and realities.
