Descrição
Resumo:This study derives from a descriptive and quantitative research aiming to evaluate the correlation between stress levels and quality of life in students of the Multiprofessional Residency Program in Basic Atenttion. The data was obtained through three instruments: a sociodemographic questionnaire, and the Brazilian versions of the Perceived Stress Scale and Quality of Life at Work Questionnaire. The sample was composed of 36 participants, 87.5% female and 12.5 male, with a mean age of 26 years, obtaining a standard deviation of 4.67 for first year residents and 2.92 for the sophomores. In the analysis of the instruments used, normality was found for the stress variables and quality of life at work presenting p> 0.05. When performing the Pearson correlation coefficient test, the values obtained from the general analysis of the scales presented a significant negative correlation between the Stress and Quality of Life at Work variables, of medium magnitude (-0.454). Finally, when evaluating the results presented by the R1 and R2 groups, a difference is noticed, when the group of the second year of residence has a lower quality of life at work score (3.45 ± 0.56) and a higher score. regarding the perceived stress scale (31 ± 6.10). These results indicate the need for stress prevention work in the studied groups, aiming to improve the quality of life and, consequently, the work performed by these professionals.
