Resumo: | It proposes a study about the absolutes occurred in the Parish of Gloriosa Santa Ana do Seridó from 1788 to 1821. Authors such as Muirakytan Macêdo and Helder Macedo highlight the role of the disengagement for the maintenance of Christianity in spaces away from the parish's headquarters, this because it was necessary to impose the idea that the Church had an authority over space and subjects, therefore, the fulfillment of Christian rites became, more than an obligation, characterizing itself as a social way of life. These authors still affirm that the detachments had fundamental importance in the process of territorialization, because if understood as a movement of transformation of the space in territory, one can discuss the movement of the priests as proposal to understand as far as the frontiers of the parish. Methodologically, part of a historiographical review; selection, collection and quantitative and qualitative analysis of the parish sources (books of baptism and marriage and death, ranging from 1788 to 1818 and together totaling 2,653 records) for the profile of the parish priests and the reconstruction of their trajectories. It was concluded after documentary analysis that for the reality of our cut, the releases took place throughout the year, not being restricted only to the Lenten period. Still, as far as the sacraments were concerned, it was realized that they were not confined to communion and confession, but extended to baptisms and marriages. |
