| Resumo: | In this project, we approached the access to the information of the files of the 3ªCIPM with focus on the modernization and the digital equipment. In the archives of this institution, there are several documents that hold important information for the Public Security area and also for the members of the institution itself, which are constantly being requested by civil and military authorities and therefore need to be handled frequently to meet internal and external requests, generating a constant flow of information that requires the administration, in addition to organization, the use of resources that contribute to the conservation and facilitate the access and the handling of this data. Based on the theoretical basis we obtained, referring to articles and sites related to the subject matter that we approached, and also based on the observation we made at the research site, we noticed that there were demands to be addressed in the various sectors of the institution, which basically showed the need to adopt modern mechanisms that facilitate the practical and safe access to archives through the use of information and communication technologies, with the purpose of safeguarding and recovering the data in case of loss. Having said this, we suggest to the institution's administration that some measures be taken to improve the preservation of physical archives, and we also digitized some of these archives as a way to encourage the implementation of a digital archive to guarantee the longevity of the information media and, at the same time facilitating access to information. |
