Resumo: | Nowadays, interprofessionality is seen as fundamental for the training of
healthcare professionals who aim to achieve a truly comprehensive assistance
to the patient and teamwork. In this connection, the development of collaborative
competences helps teachers and students to accomplish this goal.
Interdisciplinary Education recognizes and respects the specific assumptions of
each profession and protects its identity. Dealing with the difference, it works
towards achieving results based on competencies within a common structure.
The general objective of master´s degree consists of proposing elements for the
construction of a matrix of collaborative competences for the Multiprofessional
Residency Program in Health with Area of Concentration in Neonatal Intensive
Care of a teaching maternity hospital. The proposal presented in this work was
designed from the perspective of guiding the training and training process of
residents, with regard to collaborative skills. This is a secondary qualitative study,
of the bibliographic review and document analysis type, carried out at Maternity
School Januário Cicco (Maternidade Escola Januário Cicco), Natal, Rio Grande
do Norte. The sources of investigation were the Political Pedagogical Project
(PPP) of the Multiprofessional Residency in Health with Area of Concentration in
Neonatal Intensive Care of the referred maternity hospital and competency
matrices found in the literature. The study was carried out in two stages. The first
consisted of a literature review on the collaborative skills necessary for training
health professionals to read the PPP and other matrices. The second stage
aimed to build a matrix proposal that was developed based on four axes:
interpersonal relationship and communication; professionalism and ethics; sense
of responsibility and proactivity; person-centred, family-centred and communitybased approaches. Each axis presents the desired skills to the graduate of the
Multiprofessional Residency in Health with a Concentration Area in Neonatal
Intensive Care at MEJC. The purpose is that the proposal presented here
provides elements for the development of an instrument to assess the
collaborative skills of program residents. It is believed that he arrives at an
opportune time, in which the education at MEJC takes on greater proportions and
rises to a new level, the professionalization of teaching. It is the moment when
the vast majority of preceptors and tutors have already been trained for teaching
and the need arises to improve practical processes, such as the assessment of residents. |
